In this episode, I recognised different documentary conventions and forms from the usual ones that are used in Catfish episodes. For example use of time manipulation to speed up the pace of something
Some conventions and forms in this episode:
Voice over
Archival photos
Close up shots
Cutaways
Titles & credits
Fast forward editing
 |
| In this scene, fast forward editing is used on a calendar to emphasis how time has passed |
 |
| Interviews are conducted in a natural environment to maintain realism |
 |
| Titles are also used in interviews to introduce the person and their role/relation another person (Mike) |
 |
A steady, close up shot is used here so that the audience can read what is on the phone screen Focus pull is used in this shot as the background of the phone screen is blurred while the words in the front are not
